Born with a life-threatening disease called Cystic Fibrosis, she has devoted her life to turning disappointments into meaningful experiences and overcoming the obstacles life throws at her. With nearly a decade of experience in the coaching industry, she specializes in helping leaders navigate hard choices, speak up, and get noticed so they can be Rockstar Leaders with bold confidence, strong teams, and healthy businesses.
Anderson lives by the water in North Dakota where she can be found kayaking or biking with her husband, reading her favorite books with a cute mug of coffee, or adventuring in the park with their fur baby, Indigo – a petite goldendoodle with a big personality. Dr. Rick Becker is a plastic surgeon and businessman in Bismarck, starting his independent practice 25 years ago. He is also a State Representative serving District 7, Bismarck. First elected in 2012, Dr. Becker is retiring from the state legislature in November 2022. He is currently running as an Independent for the U.S. Senate.
Lori Blees

Lori Kudrna-Blees has over 30 years’ experience working in various healthcare leadership roles leading HIM and Revenue Cycle departments. Lori currently works for Sanford as the HIM Operations Director overseeing the HIM operational teams in the Sanford Bemidji, Bismarck and Fargo markets along with the enterprise transcription and voice support teams. Lori received her Master in Business Administration degree from the University of Mary and is a Registered Health Information Administrator and a HFMA Certified Healthcare Financial Planner. She currently serves as President of NDHIMA and also previously served as president of the NDHFMA chapter. Lori also was an appointed member of HFMA’s National Advisory Council on Patient Financial Services/Revenue Cycle. Lori resides in Bismarck with her husband and they enjoy spending time with their two sons.
Deb Boppre

Deb is the Health Information and CDI Director at Trinity Health in Minot, ND. Deb has a passion for managing people, large business projects and implementing technology. Deb has served two terms as President of the North Dakota Health Information Management Association and has been a delegate to the AHIMA convention. Deb was Chair for AHIMA’s Commission on Certification of Health Informatics & Information Management (CCHIIM), Chair of the AHIMA Apprenticeship Advisory Committee and an Item-Writer for AHIMA examinations.
Deb’s commitment to engaging newly credentialed staff, promoting HIIM professionals and embracing technology are her priorities. She is passionate about her profession and enjoys sharing it with other HIIM professionals.
Ashley Brusseau

My name is Ashley Brusseau. I graduated from Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration and am a Registered Health Information Administrator. I currently work for Altru Health System as the Health Information Management Manager and over see our Data Integrity Team, Release of Information, HIM Technicians, Transcription and the Medical Scribes. I’ve been in the healthcare industry for 18 years and have enjoyed the changes and challenges that have come with each day. I am a current member of AHIMA and NDHIMA and serve as the Membership Director for NDHIMA. I am married to my husband Jeff, and we have two children; Hadley who is 8 and Tucker who is 5. In our spare time we enjoy spending time camping with our families and being outdoors and attending the activities that Hadley and Tucker partake in.
Jill Cormier

Jill Cormier is the financial counselor supervisor at Altru Health System. Jill spent the first several years of her sixteen-year career in healthcare responding to patient billing complaints. During this time, she realized the need to assist patients in obtaining payor sources for their medical bills, which resulted in the development of the HERO program. Jill holds a B.S. in Social Psychology from Park University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Mary. She serves on the MNSURE CAC Stakeholder council, Altru Patient Family Advisory Council and is a member on the Grand Forks County Human Services Zone Board. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two teenagers, Gabrielle, and Isaiah and their three dogs, Noodles, Snickers and Oscar.
Clint Fuller

Officer Clint Fuller started as a Patrol Officer with the Bismarck Police Department In June of 2003.
In August of 2010 Officer Fuller moved to Crime Prevention/Community Engagement. Officer Fuller
runs the Safe Rental Housing Program and is Certified in CPTED Program which is Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design. Officer Fuller currently serves on the Chaplaincy Board the Missouri Valley Homeless Coalition and the West Central Vulnerable Adult Coalition.
Kaila Givens
Dr. Givens has spent the last 15 years working in higher education where she has held several positions from Professor to Academic Program Chair. Prior to transitioning to higher ed, she served as Health Information Manager for various healthcare facilities in the Northeast Florida area.
Dr. Givens holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management, Master of Public Health degree, and Doctor of Health Science degree. She is also a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and AHIMA Approved ICD-10 Trainer.
Dr. Givens was born and raised in North Florida and currently lives there with her husband. She is enjoying her newfound status as an empty nester since her 2 children are now adults living on their own. In her current role she is the Department Chair of the Health Information programs at North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS). The programs include a CAHIIM accredited Applied Associate of Science Health Information Technician degree and an AHIMA PCAP approved Medical Coder certificate.
She is passionate about the health information profession and all that it has to offer.
Karalee Harper, CCO
Karalee Harper is the Chief Compliance Officer at Heartview Foundation, an alcohol and substance abuse treatment center with locations in Bismarck and Cando with 130 employees and 500 current patients. She began at Heartview in 2018 as an addiction counselor and has held numerous positions within the organization. Harper has a bachelor’s degree in addiction counseling and a master’s degree in management, both from the University of Mary. She is also a clinical instructor at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, an experiential education preceptor at Creighton University and NDSU and a graduate student counseling program site supervisor with the University of Mary. Harper received the UND School of Medicine Dean’s Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Volunteer Faculty in 2022. Harper came to Heartview with more than 20 years in the private and public sectors.
Eve Kostelecky

North Dakota is home to me, I was born and raised here. The only time I ventured out of ND was for graduate school in California. I graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in 2007. Immediately after graduation, I joined an incredible private practice in Bismarck and worked with 2 other fantastic doctors for 12 years. In 2018 a unique opportunity surfaced that redirected my path and I opened Every Eye in Mandan spring of 2019. In that same year, I convinced a small number of people to open an online eyewear company, which has now transcended into a mobile-type optical business. Outside of work, my family keeps me busy enjoying this beautiful life. I have been married to my husband David for 13 years, our son Alex is 12 and our daughter Ivory is 9 and life is full speed ahead!
Tiffany Krumm
Tiffany Krumm is a Client Relations Associate for CHI Health at Home and Hospice. Tiffany has worked in the home care and hospice field since 2009. Tiffany received her Double Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications and Public Relations from Jamestown University. Tiffany has experience with grant writing for rural home health care, providing/facilitating Community Health Needs Assessments for Critical Access Hospitals, creating/developing/sustaining a full-service, qualified service provider agency all while attaining her Certified Senior Advisor and Geriatric Care Manager accreditations. Tiffany serves on the Community Elder Service Network and Guardian and Protective Services Boards. Tiffany’s favorite part of her career is getting to create relationships with our patients, their families, physicians and facility referral sources. When Tiffany is not providing solutions to patients regarding home health and hospice care, you will find her spending time with her husband and two young girls on their organic farm and ranch and performing music in the community.
Joy Krush

Joy has more than 30 years of experience in health care industry with an emphasis in coding, health information management, compliance, charge capture and documentation improvement. She is trained in Clinical Documentation Improvement and has previous experience managing a facilities CDI program.
She provides reviews of facilities chargemaster to evaluate overall accuracy of coding, revenue codes and line-item descriptions and assists with implementation of chargemaster recommendations. Experience with managing and writing appeals to RAC and other payers for DRG and APC denials.

Denise MacDonald, RN
Denise MacDonald RN is a Care Transition Nurse for CHI Health at Home – Home Health and Hospice. Denise has been a Registered Nurse for 42 years, working in a variety of roles. Denise obtained her RN diploma from Trinity School of Nursing, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from University of Mary as well as a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from University of Mary. Denise has previous experience in home health and Hospice, working with individuals with disabilities, hospital nursing, long term care nursing and as an Educator at Minot State University, and Benedictine University (Illinois). Denise is passionate that all individuals understand the health care services available to them and have access to what services they need.
Susanne Olsen
Susanne is a Client Relations Associate for CHI Health at Home – Home Health and Hospice. Susanne has worked a variety of roles in Hospice for 26 years, adding Home Health for the past 10 years. Susanne is a member of the ND Long Term Care Association. She is a registered lobbyist in ND, advocating in the past for the ND Alzheimer’s Association, as well as Hospice-related bills. Susanne has also represented ND in Washington, DC with the Hospice Action Network, an NHPCO affiliate and advocacy organization for national hospice and palliative care, which is dedicated to preserving and expanding access to hospice and palliative care in America. Whose mission is to advocate, with one voice, for policies that ensure the best care for patients and families facing the end of life. Fighting to ensure compassionate, high-quality care for all Americans facing a life-limiting illness. Susanne has a passion for assuring others have dignity and compassion in their end stages of life.
Shelly Peterson
Shelly Peterson is President of the North Dakota Long Term Care Association. Peterson has been President for the Association for 32 years. Ms. Peterson has a Master’s degree in Social Work with specialization in social planning and administration from the University of Denver. Peterson represents the Association before the legislative and executive branches of government and works with government agencies to assure sound long term care policies. Ms. Peterson has also been very involved in long term care issues on a national level. Prior to her employment with the Association, she worked for the North Dakota Department of Human Services for 11 years.

Detective Jerry Stein is a trained and licensed peace officer with twenty-seven years of law enforcement experience. He has worked for the Bismarck Police Department since January 2002 and in the Investigations Section for over eleven years. Detective Stein has training in the recognition of illicit drugs, paraphernalia, and the effects of illicit drugs on the human body. This training does include, Drug Abuse Recognition, Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), DRE instructor, Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Basic Narcotics Investigator, financial crimes/money laundering, cellular phone examinations, and several other drug interdiction courses. He graduated from North Dakota State University in 1992.

Christine Williams, RHIA, is the Health Information Management Director at UW Health in Madison, WI. She is currently serving on the AHIMA board, and has been an active delegate for AHIMA for the last 8 years. She is an established speaker and has specialty in documentation solutions and services. She has been recognized as the UW Employee of the Month, Working Mother of the Year (Working Mother Magazine), Rising Star, and for Distinguished Service for Wisconsin Health Information Management Association (WHIMA).
